STEP INSIDE OUR STUDIO

When you book us as your photographers, we do everything we can to make sure you be comfortable in our Photo Studio in St.Gallen.
Our daylight photo studio is a loft with a lot of character: over 250 m² of space.

Old walls with unmistakable patina, peeling plaster in places. Five-meter high ceilings and three window fronts. The milky panes softly break the sunlight and immerse the room in a unique, atmospheric mood.

Only 20 minutes from St. Gallen, directly at the exit in Au SG. Parking spaces are available directly and free of charge on site. The Au/SG train station is also reachable in just 5 minutes on foot.

We are convinced our studio has the best lighting in all of Eastern Swizterland.

Thanks to large window fronts on three sides, we have perfect light all day long. The old milky panes break the sun’s rays and create a soft light that cannot otherwise be replicated.

Together with the warm brown tones of the floor and walls, our unique visual style is created, which even delights die-hard black and white lovers. If you don’t find the right light here, you probably won’t find it anywhere.

Book our studio for workshops, events, and portfolio days.

Our photo studio in St. Gallen regularly hosts workshops by renowned photographers from Switzerland and Germany. Names like Kim Höhnle, Stefan Beutler, or Jean Noir have already realized their projects and workshops here – and we are proud to be a part of this creative work.

The Alpstein Photo Studio is more than just a space for rent. We open our doors exclusively for exclusive projects, workshops, and selected photographers – because this place should remain something special.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO HAVE A BIG WEDDING TO HAVE BIG MEMORIES.

An elopement or wedding day in Switzerland might be just right for you if you want an epic experience to match your love (minus the hassle and stress of planning a big wedding.)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

01.

We’ve found that choosing the right wedding photographer is a matter of the heart. Don’t just focus on individual pictures, but look at the photographer’s entire concept. Is it coherent and does it suit you? Is it what you’re looking for? Trust your gut feeling – it’s usually right.

With us, a free initial consultation is mandatory. This way, you’ll quickly notice if the chemistry is right, and you take no risk. It is extremely important to us that we are a good fit for our clients, and that our clients are a good fit for us. We want you to feel completely comfortable and like you can trust us as your photographers. For your wedding day, you deserve nothing left.

02.

Our base is in Eastern Switzerland – in St. Gallen, but we enjoy traveling for weddings all over Switzerland. We spend a lot of time hiking and photographing landscapes, so we know the Swiss Alps inside and out.

We truly love photography – and if you share our passion for real moments, golden sunsets, and adventures in the mountains, then no distance is too far. Reach out to us if you’d like us to travel to your destination.

03.

We love the Swiss Alps – hiking their trails, capturing landscapes, and documenting the traditions around Appenzell. While we also enjoy working in our photo studio in St. Gallen, our hearts are most alive outdoors.

All of this flows into our elopement photography: the cinematic beauty of the mountains, the expressiveness of portraits, and the tender details that tell a love story. As your elopement photographer Switzerland, we want to be outside, feel the energy of the Alps, and translate that spirit into timeless images.

04.

Yes, absolutely. While we’re known as your elopement photographer Switzerland, we also capture classic Swiss weddings.

Many couples choose to mix both: an intimate elopement session in the Swiss Alps combined with their traditional wedding celebration.

We love this combination – it gives you the best of both worlds, and we’re happy to create a photography experience that blends them seamlessly into your story.

05.

The most important things to know about planning an elopement in Switzerland are flexibility, preparation, and familiarity with the area.

Weather in the Alps can change quickly, so it’s essential to have a backup plan for your ceremony location and photos. Seasons also play a big role: summer offers green meadows and accessible trails, while winter creates magical snowy backdrops – but can limit access to certain areas.

Legal requirements are another important point. Most couples choose to handle the official paperwork in their home country and celebrate their symbolic ceremony here in the mountains. That way, you’re free to focus on the experience without stress.

As your local elopement photographer Switzerland, we guide you with location ideas, timing, and logistics – so you can simply enjoy the adventure.

06.

Zermatt & the Matterhorn
A Switzerland Elopement with the Matterhorn in the background is iconic. At Riffelsee, the peak is reflected in the morning light – a place so still and magical that you feel as if time stands still for a moment

Lauterbrunnen & Jungfrau Region
Region Waterfalls, green valleys, small villages like Wengen or Mürren. Everything here seems straight out of a fairy tale. Vows with a view of the Staubbach Falls or a hike high above the valley – pure Switzerland.

Appenzellerland & Alpstein
Our home. Here, the mountains are less known but full of character. Places like Seealpsee or Berggasthaus Äscher combine tradition with wild beauty. Perfect for anyone looking for an intimate elopement in Eastern Switzerland.

Engadin & St. Moritz
In autumn, the larches turn golden and reflect in turquoise mountain lakes. The vastness of Engadin conveys a sense of freedom that can only be found here. Perfect to elope in Switzerland.

Oeschinensee & Kandersteg
One of Switzerland’s most beautiful mountain lakes – turquoise blue, framed by steep rock faces. Up here, every ceremony feels like a small adventure.

Bernese Oberland
From Interlaken to Grindelwald – mountains, glaciers, alpine pastures. Here you’ll find countless hidden spots for couples seeking both impressive backdrops and quiet moments.

Lucerne & Pilatus
A combination of lake, city, and mountains. Ideal if you want a Switzerland elopement that combines nature and culture – perhaps with a boat trip in the evening.
