NO TRENDS. NO TEMPLATES. JUST MOUNTAINS.

Switzerland Elopement Photographers – As Local Guides, we help you to create your Swiss Wedding Adventure.

We believe real photography comes from the heart, and that’s why we pour our whole passion into every image we create.

Mountains & Nautre is our Glam.

Vows above the clouds. The stillness before the day begins. This is us.

Chris grew up wandering those trails with his grandfather, learning to notice the light, the silence, and all the small stories nature tells when you slow down enough to listen.

Years later, photography became more than a craft — it turned into our way of connecting with people and places. When we met, it just felt easy. We fell into the same rhythm, the same love for quiet moments and honest connection.

Today, we live and work together as photographers and storytellers. Chris is usually out in the field, chasing light across peaks and valleys. Alina’s often behind the scenes — editing, planning, and keeping things calm when the wind picks up.

This is Alpstein Fotograf.

Why OUR name “Alpstein Fotograf”?

The Alpstein is the mountain range of our home, Appenzell — a place that has shaped us and continues to inspire us every day.

With this name, we carry our roots into every story we capture — a piece of home that lives in each image we create.

THE MATTERHORN

Our first “wow” photograph was taken at the Matterhorn — and it still means everything to us.

It was one of those mornings when the world feels completely still. The air was sharp. The first snow rested on the rocks like sugar.

We had just bought our first Sony R4 and caught the first train of the week — the one that arrives just in time to watch the sunrise reflect on Lake Riffelsee.

We climbed out, breathless, chasing the light.

And then, there it was: Lake Riffelsee — the Matterhorn behind it, immense, silent, glowing in the first light of dawn. Alina stood beside me. We were both shivering, overwhelmed, completely in awe. One frame. One click.

That image is years old now, but it still reminds us why we do what we do.It taught us that you can’t stage a perfect moment — you can only be there when it happens.

And that’s what we’ve been chasing ever since.

Chris & Alina

Your Local Swiss Wedding Photographers – for over 10 years

For more than a decade, we’ve been walking through life together — laughing, loving, and capturing the moments that truly move us.

We share so much, yet we’re wonderfully different.

Alina is drawn to the quiet, tender moments; Chris seeks out the wild and passionate ones.

Somewhere between those two worlds is where our work comes alive. That’s where we find balance — in life and in photography — learning, again and again, to see the world through each other’s eyes.

Part 1 – our Story

If we’re going to capture your love story, we’ll first share ours.

Stories like this aren’t easy to tell — especially when they’re your own.

Anyone who’s ever tried to write down their love story
(or sat there staring at a blank page while writing their vows)
knows how hard it is to find the right words.

It was a rainy evening — one of those nights where the sky just doesn’t let up.

The fireworks for the Fürstenfest — Liechtenstein’s national holiday – had been canceled. I (Chris) figured the night was over.
My best friend and I were just about to leave when I heard it for the first time: Alina’s laugh.

This laugh was the beginning of everything — and the start of our journey together as Alpstein Fotograf.

Part 2

The right moment can change everythinG.

Maybe it was a joke her best friend told.

I don’t remember anymore. But her laugh stayed with me — that warm, honest laugh that, for a moment, made everything else fade away.

I had to meet the woman behind it. So I gathered every bit of courage I had and walked over to her.

“Where did you get that amazing Chinese noodle box?” I asked.

Lying, of course. It was simply the easiest way to start a conversation. “From over there,” she said — and just like that, we started talking.

A conversation that would change everything. Sometimes it’s those small, ordinary moments
that end up rewriting your whole life.

Swiss Wedding photography

A beautiful image is like a good cup of coffee.

We love good coffee — it’s part of our morning routine, our favorite conversations, and those quiet moments just to pause and enjoy.

Just like a good photograph, a good cup of coffee needs the right setting, patience, and a love for detail. It doesn’t just happen.

From the bean to the cup, it takes many small steps — time, care, and craftsmanship.

Our photography works the same way.

It’s not just pressing the shutter. It begins long before that — with preparation, vision, and the feeling for the right moment. And it doesn’t end with the click.

A picture has to be refined, printed, and brought to life — whether on canvas or paper, it deserves to be held. We don’t drink our coffee on the go, and we don’t take photos just to take them.

We create images to be seen, felt, and remembered.
Their value doesn’t grow because they change — but because we do.
